Data

MaxPunkte Version 6.6 and newer can display very large elevation data files.

Unpack zip-file to your elevation data folder, which is default C:\Users\Public\Documents\MaxPunkte\Elevation. Select file in MaxPunkte using Menu / Options /Select Elevation data file. MaxPunkte will read this file in every startup until you select a different file. Be aware that large files produce nice images but require more resources. Only use on an appropriate computer.

These SRTM data in these files exhibit some small areas with missing radar data (Water, glaciers, steep hills,... having low radar reflectivity). These gaps are not filled with interpolated data like many other datasets.
